Inkurable Stampers Challenge for April

The challenge for this month was a colour challenge using the Inkurable colours of Orange Black and White. http://inkurablestampers.blogspot.com/ My instant thought when thinking of this mix was Halloween, however when you check out all of the entries this month and Sarah's sample piece, the range is diverse and so very creative.

My piece is a canvas card - I like this way of making cards. It's a gift/card, so you can hang it or lean it and the message is on the back. I have used Kaiser Rubons and bling, Paint and Ink for the base, Ribbons and Stamps from PSX, JudiKins and Anna Griffin, then with the charms I have painted, inked and decorated them. Thanks again Sarah!!

Classes and Design team

What a whirlwind month. I am now teaching some classes at 'Paper Addiction' at Lawnton, on the northern side of Brisbane. Shona, Debra and the whole team are awesome and since I've fallen in love with all of the ranges of Graphic 45 my next class is a book using the 'Communique' range. You can find out what's going on in store by checking out http://www.paperaddiction.com.au/blog/

If you love Darkroom Door, Paper Addiction now have it in, including parts of the new range and it is just beautiful. My pick is the 'Wilderness collection'. I have been doing some design team samples with the Music Collection last week. Lot's of fun with a great range of coordinating pieces. The stamps are awesome to stamp with, clear and crisp. You can check DD out http://www.darkroomdoor.com/
I'll be back tomorrow with my new entry for the Inkurable challenge for April.
Bye All

Cyberstamp Weekend

Challenge 3

Challenge 1

"Curiouser and Curiouser......." I felt like Alice as I stepped into a whole new world on the weekend when I joined in at the Inkurable Stampers http://inkurablestampers.blogspot.com/ first Cyberstamp. It was fabulous. There was chatting and a lot of LOLing and LMAOing and games and challenges, all from home, even better!! I have done Challenge 1, a sketch challenge using the beautiful new Graphic 45 papers from Paper Addiction. Love, Love, Love those papers. The 3rd challenge was a Twinchie - lots of fun. The stampers anonymous cube was a great twinchie size. Stay well everyone.

Soot Stamping

Soot stamping was the Feb challenge over at Inkurable Stampers. I had seen it many times but had never taken the plunge until the challenge. Sarah had done a great tutorial and all of the entries were great. I went a bit soot crazy for weeks after and am still putting pieces together, so I will definately explore more with this technique later. Here are a few of my finished cards.

Stamping again with a colour over the top of the soot impression gives a nice shadow.

I dripped and smudged the wax for the background of this one then did an image transfer over the top.
